Maq was born and raised in Japan where the hyper modern and the historic blend together. Maq has deep respect and admiration for his father guiding him in life. As a teenager he loved listening to various music like disco, house and hip hop. In 1989 Maq started with spinning hi-nrg, eurobeat and 80s pops on vinyl. Today he uses 80% wax and 20%cdr to spin the tunes and experiment with the music playing with various styles. DJ Maq plays ambient music today, but he cannot tell if he will play that tomorrow. He receives his music inspiration from sensitive and mysterious artists like Larry Levan, Ron Hardy, Tee Scott and Victor Rosado who have a fine taste in selecting amazing music. Over the years DJ Maq has performed at different clubs creating an unique atmosphere for the dancing crowd.
