Raised in "El Barrio" Spanish Harlem, New York City Tony's musical taste was fed with a steady diet of Soul, Latin, Jazz, Funk and rock eminating from the radios blaring from the urban street corners and neighborhood windowsills of the ghetto. ToneLove began djing around 1975. Among several of the early 70's mobile jocks DJ ToneLove helped the NYC dance (rave) scene to propel providing summertime fun rocking the NYC Parks, Block Parties, and after hours spots.

His early DJ exposure began with playing private parties utilizing a clubman 2 mixer, and 2 - sl23 belt driven technics turntables, with peavey amplifers driving 3 way speakers. Today his mobile soundstage production has expanded to a full blown industry standard system. Tone played the drums for several years during high school, engaging in neighborhood bands and jam sessions. He continues to collect and play percussion instruments up to today. His vast record collection too was built up from his teenage years on. Currently ToneLove Inc produces R&B, Rap, Trip Hop, and now house tracks. DJ ToneLove credits Hifi Fred, Elvin, Steve Martinez & TMB, DJ Sire, and the NY dance scene, for his continued love of dance music and his resurgence in the industry. He continues to spin the music and provide quality sound systems and support to New York's top DJ's. Currently ToneLove Inc produces R&B, Rap, Trip Hop and House tracks.

ToneLove his personal musical favorites from the past and present include Barry White, James Brown, Luther Vandross, Arif Marden, Berry Gordy, Marvin Gaye, Hector Lavoe, Celia Cruz, Ray Barretto, Gilberto Gil, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Wes Montgomery, John Coltrane, Olatunji, Hugh Masekelah, Fela, Jimi Hendrix, Santana,  Gamble & Huff,  Vince Montana, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and Diana Ross.  Eddie Palmieri, Gran Combo, Sonora Poncena,  Ashford & Simpson, George Benson, Chicago, EWF, Trammps, MFSB & Salsoul Orchestra,  Tom Moulton, Frankie Crocker, David Mancuso, Larry Levan, David Todd, and Tee Scott. Significant contributors were Francois Kervorkian, Kenny Carpenter, Frankie Knuckles, Nicky Siano, David Morales, Jellybean, Boyd Jarvis, Danny Krivit, Danny Tenaglia, Tony Humphries, Timmy Regisford, Rene Hewett, Mel Cheren, Peter Brown & Gregg Charmichael, Richard Long. His personal favorite producers of  today are Glenn Underground, Anthony Nicholson, Blaze, Ron Trent, Larry Heard, Franc Roger, Osunlade, Dennis Ferrer, Joe Claussell, MAW, Quentin Harris, Antonio Ocasio, Miguel Migs and Mateo-Matos. He favors local talent from the New York area such as Tyrone (the Mixologists) Francis, The Martinez Bros., Kervyn Mark, Frankie Feliciano, Sting, Lou Gorbea, Naeem Johnson, Victor Rosado, Camacho and DJ Sire.
